Javier Nater is a Senior Associate at Gray Space Strategies, where he delivers research and strategic insights across cybersecurity, national security, emerging tech, and critical infrastructure. Javier draws on prior experience with the Defense-Industrial Initiatives Group at CSIS, where he worked on defense industrial strategy, illicit technology transfer, and tech innovation.

Before his time at CSIS, his academic work centered on U.S. cyber policy, cyber threat analysis, 5G network vulnerabilities, and transatlantic security. A Notre Dame and Johns Hopkins SAIS graduate, Javier brings a data-driven lens to complex geopolitical risks, helping clients navigate the federal landscape with clarity and precision.
